Circuit Keeps Tripping, Power's Out in Part of the House, Lights Flickering at Work
Electrical faults happen in homes and businesses alike and they rarely give you much warning before they become a problem. A circuit that trips every time a certain appliance runs. A section of the office with no power. Lights that flicker intermittently and nobody can figure out why. These things are disruptive at home and genuinely costly in a business environment where downtime has a direct impact on operations.
The problem with electrical faults is that the symptom you can see is rarely the whole story. What looks like a tripping circuit might be a wiring fault, a failing appliance, an overloaded circuit or something more serious behind the wall. Finding the actual cause, not just the symptom, is what separates a proper fault finding job from a guessing game.
Here’s what we get called out for across homes and businesses:
- Circuits tripping repeatedly or without an obvious cause
- Power loss to part of a home or commercial premises
- Lights flickering, dimming or behaving intermittently
- Power points that have stopped working or feel warm to touch
- Appliances or equipment tripping the switchboard when switched on
- Intermittent faults that come and go and have never been properly diagnosed
- Businesses experiencing electrical issues that are affecting day-to-day operations
Whether it’s your home or your business, we’ll find the fault, explain what’s causing it and give you honest advice on the most practical fix.
An Undiagnosed Electrical Fault at Home Is a Safety Risk. In a Business, It's Also a Financial One.
At home, an unresolved electrical fault can be a genuine safety hazard — intermittent faults in wiring, connections or switchboards can cause electric shock or create a fire risk over time. In a commercial environment, the stakes are even higher. Every hour a section of your premises is without power, every time your staff can’t use equipment or your customers are affected, that fault has a dollar value attached to it.
Getting a fault properly diagnosed and fixed by a licensed electrician isn’t just about safety. It’s about restoring confidence in your electrical installation, knowing that what’s behind your walls and in your switchboard is working the way it should.

Electrical Fault Disrupting Your Home or Business? Let's Get to the Bottom of It.
We take a fast, systematic approach to fault finding - diagnosing the actual problem, not just the symptom, and giving you a straight answer on the best fix.
We Don't Guess - We Test, Trace and Find the Actual Problem
A lot of electrical faults get misdiagnosed because the first thing that gets replaced is whatever’s easiest to access, not necessarily what’s actually causing the problem. Here’s how we approach fault finding properly:
We start by understanding what you’ve experienced
Before we touch anything, we want to know exactly what’s been happening, when it started, what triggers it, whether it’s getting worse and what’s already been tried. The more context we have, the faster we find the fault.
We test systematically
We work through the circuit or installation methodically, testing, isolating and eliminating possibilities until we’ve traced the fault back to its source. No guessing, no replacing parts and hoping for the best.
We explain what we’ve found in plain language
Once we’ve identified the fault, we’ll tell you exactly what it is, what caused it and what fixing it involves. For businesses, we’ll also let you know if there’s anything that needs to be addressed to prevent it happening again.
We give you honest options
Not every fault requires an expensive fix. We’ll give you a straight assessment of what’s needed, and if there’s a practical, cost-effective solution, that’s what we’ll recommend. No upselling, no unnecessary work.
We fix it properly
Once you’re happy to proceed, the fault is repaired correctly, tested, confirmed working and documented where required. For commercial clients, we can provide written reports on the fault and the works carried out.

Harrison and Integrity Power Solutions Pty Ltd have been fantastic to work with. I had several electrical matters that I wanted and needed attending to in my home. Harrison provided a courteous and professional initial engagement via email, which then extended through in-person quoting and job completion. Harrison was on time, responsive, knowledgeable and able to offer advice to any relevant query thrown his way. The completed work was completed to a very high standard with all areas (being most rooms in my home) respectfully left tidy after after works were completed. I wouldn't hesitate to ask Harrison and Integrity Power Solutions to undertake any future electrical work that may be required in my home. Thank you for a job well done!Posted on Google![]()

Electrical Fault at Home or at Work? Don't Leave It to Chance.
Get in touch with a licensed Perth electrician. We'll find the fault, fix it properly and give you the confidence that your electrical installation is safe and working the way it should.
1. How do you charge for fault finding?
Fault finding is charged on time and materials. Unlike a standard installation job where the scope is known upfront, fault finding can take anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours depending on how complex or intermittent the issue is. We'll give you an honest indication of likely time before we start and keep you updated throughout. you won't be left guessing about the cost.
2. What if you can't find the fault?
Intermittent faults can be particularly difficult to track down if they don't present during the visit. If we can't replicate the fault, we'll explain everything we've tested and checked, what we suspect may be causing it and what the recommended next steps are. We won't charge for work we haven't done.
3. Can you carry out fault finding in a commercial premises without shutting down operations?
In most cases yes , isolating a single circuit or section of the premises for testing doesn't necessarily mean shutting the whole business down. We'll assess what needs to be isolated, discuss the timing with you beforehand and work around your operations as much as practically possible. For businesses where any downtime is critical, let us know upfront and we'll plan accordingly.
4. My switchboard keeps tripping — is that a fault finding job?
Yes, and it's one of the most common calls we get. A circuit that keeps tripping is usually caused by one of three things: an overloaded circuit with too many devices drawing power, a faulty appliance that's pulling excess current, or a wiring or switchboard fault. We'll test each circuit systematically, isolate the cause and give you a straight answer on what's actually happening before recommending any work.
5. Can intermittent faults be dangerous?
Yes, and they're often more serious than faults that show up consistently. An intermittent fault can indicate a loose connection, deteriorating cable insulation or an arcing fault inside a wall or switchboard. These types of faults can generate heat and create a fire risk even when they're not actively showing symptoms. If something in your home or business is behaving inconsistently, it's worth getting it looked at properly rather than waiting to see if it gets worse.
6. How quickly can you get out for a fault?
For urgent faults, particularly where power is out to part of the property, a circuit is tripping repeatedly or there's a suspected safety issue, call us directly on 0424 924 646 and we'll prioritise getting out as quickly as we can. For non-urgent fault finding, we aim to respond the same day and attend within a few days. The more detail you can give us about what's happening when you call, the better prepared we'll be when we arrive.
